The Role:
The primary purpose of this position is to provide production chemistry support to operations to ensure equipment integrity and regularity
MAE*/MATTE* and HSE* Critical Responsibilities:
* Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe and environmentally prudent manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, Chrysaor HSEQ procedures, Asset specific Performance Standards and Engineering Standards
* Responsible for administering production fluids sampling strategy and programme.
* Responsible for analysing production samples and providing recommendations on chemical treatments
Areas of Responsibility Competence Level:
* Provide technical support to Operations regarding production fluid compositions.
* Holder of all records, data and trends associated with sampling data.
* Administer the Chemicals/Analysis budget and provide regular updates to the budget holder / Accounts.
* Contract manager for production chemicals contract. Liaise with and support the Production Optimisation Team and Well Intervention Team.
* Liaise with HUB's and Functional groups contributing to a cohesive support network within the business.
* Provide general support to assets as required, supplying operational related information to onshore maintenance, compliance, HSEQ, drilling, subsurface and well intervention groups as required.
* In co-ordination with Process and Reservoir engineering, identify future short/mid-term enhancement projects that have potential to add value to the business.
* Operations Optimisation - In co-ordination with Process and Reservoir engineering, facilitate the execution of short/mid -term enhancement projects
* Execute real time operational problem-solving exercises.
* Supervise chemical trials
* Responsible for contract management for relevant contracts
* Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Engineering Degree required
* Chartered Engineer Status and Corporate Member of a professional body preferred.
* Safety/environmental awareness - understanding of safe working practices and procedures.
* Technical awareness - general understanding of all technical areas affecting platform operations (Subsurface, Process, Mechanical, Systems, Electrical and Instruments).
* Commercial awareness - understanding of production optimisation and contractual arrangements with partners and vendors.
* Procedural awareness - Understanding of all guidelines and procedures relevant to platform operations.
* Ability to react to any issues that affect the operating unit's safety, environmental and business performance.
* People/communication skills - Onshore/Offshore interfacing, inter departmental, partners, third party/vendors.
* Occasional travel
