Our client is seeking an Analyst, based in Calgary, to assess the maturity of current Business Unit processes and practices against the Operating Management System framework and identify required actions to close gaps.

Responsibilities
* Operating Management System Enablement:
* Assess the maturity of current Business Unit processes and practices against Operating Management System framework and identify required actions to close gaps.
* Support project management, stakeholder engagement and communication activities associated with the implementation of Operating Management System across the Liquid Pipelines Business Unit;
* Provide subject matter expertise on all aspects of Operating Management System to Business Unit and Business Unit Program Leaders, including explaining and interpreting element requirements and their intent, providing clarification and setting expectations on enabling tools and processes, and supporting alignment of activities to Operating Management System;
* Develop management system level strategies, standards, processes and tools to support the Business Unit in the implementation of Operating Management System. This includes leading/facilitating procedure and process improvements;
* Develop and sustain effective governance structures and practices for the Business Unit Management System aligned to Operating Management System;
* Interact with element and process owners to identify and action improvements. Track and support improvement activities.
* Support the department and collaborative efforts across TransCanada to promote the implementation of Operating Management System and the alignment of strategies, objectives, and business priorities to improve performance.
* Lead development of Liquid Operations specific processes and procedures
* Provide Technical & Physical Management of Change program governance and subject matter expertise to ensure both process and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:
* Experience in the implementation of operational excellence management systems;
* Demonstrated team and individual leadership ability whether in a formal or informal leadership position;
* Demonstrated leadership of change ability, facilitation, influencing and conflict resolution skills;
* Conduct business with a sense of urgency and manage to short deadlines;
* Ability to prioritize and effectively deal with multiple and competing demands and requirements;
* Ability to manage a broad range of tasks;
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, problem solving skills, and networking/relationship-building capabilities;
* Commitment to health, safety, environment and quality;
* Strong team orientation, demonstrating a high level of cooperation;
* Proven analytical and critical thinking skills.

Education and Experience:
* Five or more years of relevant experience;
* Prior experience in the following areas are considered an asset:
- Project Management
- Business management systems
