The Role:
General Information
Reporting to the Manager of Information Management (IM), the Business Analyst will be engaged in the performance monitoring as well as the development and delivery of business improvement initiatives for Information Management, to enhance the delivery of services offered by client's Center. The work within this role may span the department and may be sensitive in nature. Therefore, we are looking for individuals who are adaptable and can meet the following responsibilities and qualifications.
Responsibilities
* Gather, analyze, evaluate and report data (financial, operational, performance, etc.) on business improvement initiatives;
* Lead and/or participate in the development of a systematic approach by applying standardized processes, tools and templates to develop and deliver
* business improvement projects;
* Active and enthusiastic participation in continuous improvement of team and department processes, practices and initiatives;
* Analyzes and contributes to the determination of plans and integrated business and operational plans and priorities.
* Prepare and deliver presentations to internal and external clients at all levels of staff and management;
* Development, analysis and delivery of change initiatives aimed at optimizing the value of the IM Team's business processes;
* Compile, analyze and produce meaningful reports to provide performance measures for the team;
* Monitors results in relation to plans, develops reports on findings, and consults with clients to develop recommendations on strategic plans, operational plans and priorities based upon results analysis to improve the overall effectiveness of the operation.
* Conduct research and participate in the development of materials/programs to support inspection and construction management resources;
* Analyzing and processing complex data sets using querying, visualization and analytics tools.
* Extracting, interpreting and analyzing data to identify key metrics and transform raw data into meaningful, actionable information.
* Other tasks as required.

Qualifications and Education
Qualifications:
* Ability to research, analyze and synthesize multi-source data and produce clear and precise outputs, reports and recommendations;
* Demonstrated ability to perform under tight deadlines with multiple priorities;
* Strong financial, analytical, and critical thinking skills;
* Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and confidently to a variety of audiences at various levels of the organization;
* Ability to deal with ambiguity and is sensitive to confidential material.

Education/Experience:
* Successful completion of a University degree, preferably in Business, Economics, Information Management or related field;
* 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience;
* Demonstrated project management experience and/or experience related to governance processes in business related projects;
* Knowledge of Company business processes and supporting computer systems;
* Knowledge of the various business units in the Company organization and the roles of each unit an asset;
* Understands significant use of IS systems for data retrieval, and analysis techniques an asset.
