The Role:
Position Title: Materials Management & Warehousing Technical Writer, Policy, Process & Procedure

Level: Senior

Priority: This position works with various Materials Management & Warehousing (MM&W) team members, Supply Chain colleagues and business clients to develop, document, and/or update policy, process and procedure related to materials management (inventory) and warehousing. More broadly the role will develop an MM&W Policy, Process & Procedure roadmap and framework, progressively building-out related documentation. Through this work, the MM&W Technical Writer supports maturing the client's Materials Management & Warehousing Strategy and developing a structured, consistent and transparent approach to services and interactions with business clients.
Excellent business writing skills, the ability to effectively work with a wide variety of stakeholders of diverse backgrounds, the ability to facilitate working between cross-functional teams, and a subject matter expertise in Materials Management & Warehousing will be critical for success in this position.

Scope: The MM&W Technical Writer will:
* Work primarily with existing MM&W team members, Supply Chain colleagues and business clients, supporting multiple geographies (Canada, US and Mexico) and multiple lines of business (Gas, Liquids, and Energy Operations)
* Work closely with Supply Chain Governance and Process teams to develop and update a Materials Management & Warehousing specific Process Framework
* Lead the development of Materials Management & Warehousing specific policy, process and procedure documentation

Reporting Structure: Reporting to Manager - Materials Management & Warehousing (Calgary) and working closely with team members in the client offices located in Calgary/Houston and in 6 different warehouses spread between Canada and the US.
Areas of focus for policy, process and procedure development include, but are not limited to:
* Inventory Additions
* Inventory Management
* Materials Cataloguing
* Inventory Valuation
* Stocking Strategy
* Material Receiving
* Material Quarantine
* Picking
* Inventory Counts
* Material Returns
* Investment Recovery
* Surplus Management
* Repairs & Refurbishment
* Material Requirement Planning (MRP)
* Field Inventory Management

Must have:
* A high school diploma is required;
* At least five (10) years related Supply Chain experience, in pipeline, mid-stream or other related oil & gas setting
* Experience with SAP and inventory related SAP functions
* Demonstrable experience and subject matter expertise in Materials Management & Warehousing functions
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, through written, oral and presentation abilities combined with ability to utilize those skills during interactions with peers, colleagues and clients at all levels
* Self-starter and able to work under deadlines, with strong time management and priority setting skills

An asset:
* University degree
* Designation or enrolment in a Supply Chain certification (SCMP, CPIM, etc.)
* General knowledge of the overall P2P process across a variety of commodities (materials)

Work Environment:
* High percentage of computer work 50-70%
* Team and Stakeholder engagement/feedback 30-50%
* Travel 0-5%
