The Role:
Core Responsibilities: Serves as a company representative in land negotiations and manages the ownership or lease of surface lands. The position deals with affected parties, including landowners, communities, external industry associations and regulatory bodies in matters pertaining to real estate, property management and stewardship, land acquisition or disposition, public awareness/consent programs and settling damage claims.

Decision Making: Responsible for an organization's investments for all geographic areas where it operates. Work is governed by general policy and is involved in highly complex matters. Familiarity with real estate practice, ownership, stewardship, communication and stakeholder issues in the United States including sitting and operational concerns that may arise in conjunction with operating generation assets. Knowledge of the execution of land practices and processes across the company and in the industry.

Duties: Is considered an subject matter expert and is sought out by internally stakeholders for guidance on land rights issues; Identify land requirements and potential issues on capital projects, acquisition or development programs; provide facilitation in unique land issues, claims, negotiations recognizing precedent-setting impacts; support and implement the annual integrated public awareness program; direct and/or advise contract land agents, appraisal experts, consulting foresters and surveyors, contractors involved with property matters and ownership; ensure data within the land database is current and accurate.
