The Role:
The Leak Detection Engineer will have the responsibility:

As a member of the Leak Detection Engineering team, you will implement safe, reliable and effective leak detection systems for liquid pipelines and operator trainer systems to train control room personnel. The primary form of leak detection that you will be responsible for is a CPM (Computational Pipeline Monitoring) Real Time Transient Modelling System. New technologies are being assessed by the team and could be implemented in future pipelines as well. You will implement systems for new pipelines and follow the project through 6 phases (Design, Configuration & Development, Testing, Implementation, Commissioning, and Tuning & Handover).

Other responsibilities include:
* Create, Configure, validate and tune pipeline hydraulic models for pipeline systems using standard advanced leak detection software packages to provide accurate and reliable leak detection;
* Test systems thoroughly to ensure proper performance;
* Program and trouble shoot code related to offline trainer control logic as well as online analysis models;
* Provide problem solving, continuous improvement and standardization efforts for LD (Leak Detection) and trainer systems related work processes;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Experience and Education:
* Bachelor of Science in an Engineering discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical are preferred);
* 4+ years of work related experience;
* Experience with numerical simulations such as hydraulic simulation will be considered a strong asset;
* Experience with programming;
* Experience with leak detection systems especially with CPM, will be considered a strong asset;
* Knowledge of and/or experience in SCADA and Pipeline Control Center operations is an asset;
