General Information

This is a short term, project-based role that will last approximately 4 months. The goal of the project is to integrate facilities on Columbia Pipeline Group Assets into TransCanada's US Natural Gas Integrity Management Framework. 


*             Retrieval, organization and management of facility drawings

*             Use of GIS tools to identify pipeline facilities potentially within high consequence areas

*             Detailed facility review for the purposes of identifying 'covered segments' per 49 CFR 192 Subpart O/ ASME B31.8S - Gas Transmission Integrity Management

*             Modify and mark-up facility drawings for integrity assessments.


*             Knowledge pertaining to regulatory requirements for gas transmission pipeline integrity management (49 CFR 192) would be an asset

*             Basic understanding of GIS platforms (e.g. Google Earth, ArcMap, etc.)

*             Ability to apply basic engineering principles to problem solving

*             Familiarity with reading and interpreting engineering drawings including but not limited to: plot plans, isometric drawings, materials lists, and P&IDs

*             Strong organizational skills

Education & Experience

*             University Degree in Engineering or Diploma in Engineering Technology.

*             Experience: 0-4 years
