The Role:
Our client is seeking an experienced Pipeline Integrity Engineer based in Calgary. The main focus of the role is to produce reports and documentation with regards to the analysis of high risk/consequence areas of pipelines, and the maximum allowable operating pressures.

Core Responsibilities:

- Gather and analyze data in support of assessing, and scoping remedial action for the Class and High Consequence Area Programs. -Utilize ArcGIS tools to manage and manipulate data in support of the Class and HCA Programs in accordance with established guidelines, policies and procedures related to enterprise GIS data management. -Gather and analyze data in support of assessing and quantifying integrity threats in the context of the Class and High Consequence Area Programs. -Perform Engineering calculations to manage revisions in MAOP (Maximum Allowable Operating Pressure). -Perform Engineering Studies to determine the continued safe operation of the pipeline . -Review and analyze in-line inspection data and utilize the results to provide threat mitigation recommendations and maintenance planning. -Perform QA of survey vendors' deliverables that feed into the Class & HCA Program.

Decision Making:
- Assists in making decisions using established guidelines, procedures and/or policies related to pipeline integrity programs. -Assists in making recommendations relating to general policy and technical issues using established guidelines, procedures or policies. -Operates as part of a larger team, working to meet challenging objectives in demanding timeframes.

- Undertakes accountabilities related to managing enterprise GIS data for the Class and High Consequence Area Programs. -Undertakes accountabilities related to the Class Program Planning. -Undertakes accountabilities related to defining the overall US Gas Pipeline Integrity Management Program. -Regularly and effectively communicates progress and setbacks to Program Lead. -Applies general engineering knowledge while assisting in managing deviations from standard methods. -May seek guidance from more senior colleagues, as required.
