The Role:
General Information

Reporting to the Director, Keystone XL US Facilities, the position will be responsible for coordinating with multiple functional teams. This will include but not limited to planning, monitoring and reporting on the assignment/project deliverables; act as a bridge between upper management and the execution planning, execution, materials and project services teams; oversight and leadership of tasks assigned; assembling and leading assignment/project teams to completion; time management; enable functional teams to focus on task while coordinating to meet leadership expectations of quality and timeliness of assigned deliverables. This position will serve a critical role to the overall success of the project working directly alongside two (2) Execution Managers, one (1) Execution Planning Manager, and one (1) Materials Manager.


* Maintain Safety as the foundation for all activities;
* Lead and provide strategic direction for the project team and stakeholder groups;
* Identify project issues early and develop plans by coordinating with functional stakeholders to resolve;
* Manage and provide recommendations on the analysis of data, summarize and track information, and create reports and presentations;
* Work collaboratively with other project groups to share and implement best practices;
* Contributes to the continual improvement of the company's project management tools and processes (following the TransCanada project development and delivery standards);
* Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities;
* Interpersonal negotiation skills; conflict resolution experience; adaptability;
* Other tasks as required

Qualifications and Education

* Must have managed the development and construction of Pump and/or Compressor Stations.
* Liquid pipeline industry experience is strongly preferred, with demonstrable experience in Project or Construction Management;
* Knowledge of applicable liquid pipeline industry construction practices, regulatory and agency requirements;
* Leadership skills; ability to create a vision, clearly communicate direction and drive to goal completion;
* Ability to read and understand technical documents including legal contracts and information on new management concepts and new technology;
* Understands and expresses complex and sensitive concepts clearly, correctly and in a well-organized form;
* Skilled in the areas of team facilitation, collaboration, negotiation and influencing, process mapping, problem solving and creative solutions;
* Ability to recognize strategic implications of problems and issues;
* Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Requires a Bachelor's degree, Engineering degree preferred.
* Project Management Professional Certification preferred
* Minimum 4-6 years of applicable industry experience required.
