The Role:
Materials management specialists coordinate the supply of materials from the point of purchase to deployment or use. They ensure that materials management is thoroughly integrated with other PSCM, SPU and logistics activities. They will assist in the develop of materials management strategies to meet customer needs by leveraging a network of supply partners, processes, tools and technology to provide the most advantageous cost within the optimal value proposition.
The Warehouse Specialist (WS) will develop leading practice processes for global warehousing activities, focused on the needs of warehouse operations and the distribution network. The WS will also provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) and advice to the field warehouse roles, such as the SPU warehouse managers, enabling reliable warehouse operations. The WS assesses, advises, and influences warehouse requirements during the development of the contracting strategy. The WS also has a SME role in the continuous improvement of the materials management framework with special influence on transportation, including guidance on standard operating procedures. The WS position requires both depth and breadth of global warehousing / distribution experience including leadership skills coupled with the ability to drive and influence change. The Warehouse Specialist will have broad operational PSCM experience at Regional Performance Unit (RPU) level in any of the upstream market Sectors e.g. Drilling Completions, Sub Surface Wells, Projects Engineering, or Operations and HSSE, OR Downstream experience and/or Consumable Goods experience or comparable experience.

� Assist with a distribution network optimization initiative with 2-3 RPUs, initially
� Assist with the distribution network optimization across remaining RPUs
� Warehouse operations structured to meet RPU SLA requirements while operating in a cost efficient manner
� Well-defined and monitored metrics and SLAs to ensure highest levels of service
� Warehousing operations continuously optimized for network efficiency and required service levels regularly reviewed
� Distribution network optimized across geographies and RPUs To be considered for this role, applicants must have
� University degree (4 year Bachelor degree) or equivalent To be considered for this role, applicants must have
� The willingness and ability to travel up to 35% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position
� Procurement contract execution in complex Upstream oil or gas SPU environments (freight)
� Engagement in complex negotiations with global suppliers � Managing significant contract spend
� typically up to $100 million per annum
� Experience of delivering to other time zones and cultural environments
� Mitigating and managing risk through effective negotiation to deliver consistent quality and safety
� Working across disciplines and cross-functional teams
� Good influencing and communication skills across a wide range of cultural environments
� Strong analytical skills and understanding of the business process areas of materials management, warehouse management, inventory processes, work management and supply chain
� Skillful application and use of Microsoft Projects, Power-point, and Excel-based too

� Track record of successful warehouse delivery in international and multi-cultural environments
� Driving process execution and review for continuous improvement opportunities
� Developing framework (service) agreements � Evidence of developing Leadership Skills
� Skillful Application of the following PSCM competencies; Contract execution and management, supplier performance management, Project Management Skills and Influencing Strategy
� Awareness in Supply chain risk management and Materials Management
� Preparedness to travel and be mobile to respond to SPU demand
� Successful track record of taking part and coaching teams involved in complex high value negotiations possibly across international boundaries
