The Role:

Role Synopsis
The Materials Supply Analyst is responsible for ensuring that required materials are available for Production Operations in accordance with agreed stocking strategies and scheduled requirements. Key measurements of success are PR to PO Processing Time, and On Time Delivery of materials. The role is expected provide input on Material supply issues, advising on expediting and availability issues, and working with Warehouse, Procurement and Category Management to follow up on any actions to secure supply.
Role Expectations
For assigned area of ownership (asset/plant/suppliers):
* Deliver on-time availability for Production materials through daily monitoring and execution of SAP Material Requirements Planning (MRP) recommendations (Order, Expedite), releasing/expediting requirements for defined sources of supply, and releasing/expediting free text items for quote and purchase.
* Maintain target inventory levels on assigned materials through daily monitoring/execution of SAP MRP recommendations (Defer, Cancel)
* Communicate with suppliers to confirm new order releases and confirm changes from expedite/defer/cancel actions
* Ensure SAP reflects the current information for projected material availability by maintaining changed delivery dates
* Provide feedback on supplier performance to Procurement/Category Management for supplier management
* Participate in Lean Problem Solving, Kaizen events
* Provide input to Procurement, Material Flow & Warehouse, and Materials Optimization & Control roles to drive consistency, compliance and best practices
Critical Skills And Knowledge
Materials Management Processes
* Basic supply chain materials flow (warehousing, procurement, etc)
* Material Requirements Planning (MRP) system and concepts
* Inventory management principles: safety stock, lead time, carrying cost,
* Procurement basic understanding: procurement policy, purchase order mechanics, category management / procurement roles & responsibilities
* Demonstrated collaboration skills
Experience; Business Accomplishments Required
* Bachelors Degree
* 3+ years materials, inventory, production planning or related supply chain experience, preferably in Procurement or materials management
* Demonstrate experience with SAP modules including Materials Management, Materials Requirements Planning (MRP), Purchase Orders (PO), and Request for Quote (RFQ)
* Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, and apply standard processes
* Required Skills (That Can Be Demonstrated):
* Excellent communication skills (oral, written, and presentation)
* Experience in team work, including influencing others
* Data Analysis skills (Operational, Financial, Performance Metrics, etc.)
* Good skills in Microsoft Office Suite of products including Excel capabilities that include pivot tables and vlookup
