The Role:
Our Jackfish District has an excellent opportunity for a 3rd Class SAGD Field Production Operator Contractor. Reporting to the Production Foreman, this role is a camp-based position working a shift of 8 days on / 6 days off. Our Client has an industry leading camp facility serving all three Jackfish plants, and currently provides bus and/or air transportation from designated departure points in select locations, depending on place of residence and shift rotation.
Environment, Health & Safety and Regulatory Performance is a critical component of our overall success at the company and as such this position calls for a high level of excellence in respect to Health and Safety, requiring you to anticipate risk and ensure safety in the workplace is a priority.
Our Jackfish Project is located approximately 15km (10 miles) southeast of Conklin, Alberta. We have selected Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) as the technology to extract bitumen over the life of the project. Total recoverable resources are estimated at over 300 million barrels. The company currently has three Jackfish SAGD facilities operating.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Have a thorough understanding of processes involved with Thermal Heavy Oil recovery.
* Provide expertise and knowledge to the operation, where required.
* Perform equipment isolations as required.
* Maintain and adhere to all the company EH&S policies and procedures.
* Perform testing and analysis of process fluids.
* When required, fulfil the duties of Shift Engineer to maintain crew compliance with ABSA

Requirements:
* 3rd class Steam ticket preferred with 5 years SAGD field experience
* 4th class steam ticket acceptable with 5 or more years SAGD field experience
* Experience with SAP, MS office considered an asset
* Ability to work both day and night shift (12 hour shifts)
* Ability to adjust shift schedules as required (7 days on 7 days off, may be requested to change work schedule to best accommodate operational needs)
