The Role:
Reporting to the Foreman, this role is a camp based position working 7 days on / 7 days off, fly in / fly out schedule with flights included from Calgary, Edmonton, Vancouver, Nanaimo and Kelowna.

Environment, Health & Safety and Regulatory Performance is a critical component of our overall success with the Client and as such this position calls for a high level of excellence in respect to Health and Safety, requiring you to anticipate risk and ensure safety in the workplace is a priority.

Our Project is located approximately 15km (10 miles) southeast of Conklin, Alberta. We have selected Steam Assisted Gravity Drainage (SAGD) as the technology to extract bitumen over the life of the project. Total recoverable resources are estimated at over 300 million barrels. Devon currently has three SAGD facilities operating.

This position offers the right candidate variety in their daily work life, learning opportunities and the chance to offer creative solutions. We are seeking an individual with a strong work ethic, who is self-motivated and able to work under minimal supervision. Our ideal candidate will possess excellent planning and organization skills and who has the ability to be influential and assertive when necessary. We require someone who is known as an open and honest team player, and who has a positive, engaging attitude.

Duties & Responsibilities:
* Have a thorough understanding of processes involved with Thermal Heavy Oil recovery.
* Provide expertise and knowledge to the operation, where required.
* Perform equipment isolations as required.
* Maintain and adhere to all Client EH&S policies and procedures.
* Perform testing and analysis of process fluids.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* 2nd Class Power Engineering Certificate preferred
* 8-10years of operating experience
* 8-10 years of experience in Thermal/SAGD production processes is considered an asset
* Availability and willingness to work extended hours, as/when needed.
