The Role:
We are currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer to join a client who is in process of rapid growth and expansion at their Seal Sands site on Teesside. Reporting to the Head of Engineering the role will be responsible for:

  • Assisting with the deployment of key operational strategies within the electrical group
  • Providing technical direction for the electrical group, communicating operational strategies and performance
    Delivering the electrical aspects of all Capital Projects ensuring good engineering practice is applied whilst also maintaining capital expenditure within budget limits.
  • Improving of the production asset uptime through a reduction in outages associated with electrical equipment
  • Ensuring legislative compliance within the electrical function

The Role Objectives:

  • Meet site safety standards.
  • Meet regulatory and customer quality requirements relating to ISO9001, ISO14001 and cGMP as well as the requirements of cross contamination prevention.
  • Meet the budgetary requirements for the electrical group cost centre, EWA related work and capital projects related to the electrical discipline
  • Ensure the manufacturing plan is achieved through optimised changeover activities and a reliable asset base

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Must be Degree Qualified in Electrical Engineering
  • 5 years experience on Chemical/COMAH sites.
  • Exposure to a wide range of electrical equipment.
  • Preferably a chartered member of IET.
