The Role:
Role Objectives:
To effectively lead a shift production team under the direction of the Shift Manager to safely achieve defined quality standards, performance and output levels.
To ensure that the team meet all safety and quality standards, including ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO18001 and cGMP as well as the requirements of cross contamination.
Monitor, control and operate the plant efficiently, ensuring all procedures are adhered to and all defects are reported to the Shift Manager. To ensure a pro-active and continuous approach to safety.

Key Accountabilities:
Ensure that all Environment, Health & Safety requirements are met including (but not limited to)
Support the Shift Manager in all out-of-hours Emergency Response
Carry out control room functions to ensure the plant runs safely and efficiently, Whilst in turn monitoring & reporting progress against production targets / KPI's .
Ensure all production repair and maintenance activities are carried out in accordance with Lianhetech standards, procedures and permit to work requirements.
Ensure the team deliver against the planned shift activities to safely achieve output in a timely manner, consistent with quality objectives.
Ensure that all operators are appropriately trained for any tasks they may be required to undertake.
Ensure raw materials are ordered in a timely manner
Support the Shift Manager and Operational leadership team as necessary to investigate accidents, incidents, near misses and quality deviations
Monitor and control on site chemical and utility systems within approved plant parameters and in compliance with operating procedures.
Ensure all permits are completed accurately and in a timely manner, monitor all permit activities and ensure the plant is always handed back in a safe state
Act as Area Authority.
Alert workshop technician team of any abnormalities
Adhere to all legislative, environmental and company standards and procedures.
Liaise with outside operators to ensure plant is operated safely and efficiently.
Liaise directly with production, maintenance, safety and engineering teams
Monitoring Emissions to Atmosphere and Drains
Closely monitor key critical and sensitive process parameters, taking appropriate corrective action as necessary or raising appropriate deviation reports.
Ensure a safe and comprehensive handover is given at shift or personnel change with all pertinent operational and maintenance information to relevant personnel.
Ensure all manufacturing system information is entered into the Plant Management System accurately and on time.
Carry out duties / Provide Support in other Production Buildings as required
Ensure housekeeping is completed to the required standard, ensuring the plant is clean and tidy with all raw materials stored appropriately
Undertake any other duties of which the responsibility, skill and experience required fall within a post holder's expected capability and commensurate with the post holder's position in the company.

Understanding of the requirements of a top tier COMAH site and the implications for manufacturing
Education/Qualification Required
* Time served in recognised trade apprenticeship / S/NVQ
* Min. 5years working knowledge of a chemical processing plant
* Experience within a Team Lead / Lead operator role
* Understanding of Top Tier site safety procedures and culture ability to work within these
* Knowledge of DCS (ideally Siemens PCS 7)
