The Role:
Reporting to the Permit to Work/Powerhouse Area Authority, this position will provide support to the PTW/PH Area Authority in carrying out their duties, and is the person authorized to issue Permits to Work on behalf of the client during the construction, commissioning, maintenance and operation of the Muskrat Falls Generation site.

The incumbent will be responsible for reviewing submitted Permit Applications for completeness or accuracy, and confirming all required supporting documentation is included from a mechanical, electrical, and health and safety perspective.

The Permit Issuer will perform an array of data entry duties, as well as be a hands on link between the Permit Office and Contractor field personnel.

- Assist the Area Authority in carrying out his/her duties
- Review Permits to Work with the Permit Receiver
- Review Permit applications for completeness and accuracy
- Confirm that Permits include all required supporting documents
- Issue Work Permits to the Contractor
- Provide assessments of approved Permits to confirm that Permit Receivers are operating within their permitted area and work scope
- Review Validation and Transfer Certificates for compliance with PTW Procedures
- Consult with the Isolation Authority and PTW/PH Area Authority as required to resolve technical issues that may arise
- Perform Permit Office data entry requirements
- Provide a communications link between the Permit Office and Contractor field personnel
- Maintain records of permits

- Appropriate mechanical, electrical trade certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Position Details:
- Position requires 12 hours per day, 14 on/14 off

Our client, a diverse Canadian Energy Company, plans new developments estimated at $12+ Billion over the next 5 years.This position is open to Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents only. Residents of Newfoundland & Labrador will be given first consideration for this position.
