Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
* To be familiarised and knowledgeable of planning, budgeting, billings and controlling aspects of the company's operated and non-operated JV assets, which includes those concerning license agreements, JoAs, sales agreements, group MSGs, internal & external policies and government legislations etc.;
* To assist in compiling for operated JVs the annual work programmes and budgets as per requirements of licenses, JOAs and the company's internal procedures;
* To establish, update and maintain cost control tools and reports in order to provide timely and effective monitoring and reporting of controlling objects such as budget line items, AFEs, ad-hoc projects, cost categories (G&A, Capex, Opex etc.), cost elements, cost allocation criteria, resource plans, i.e. headcounts, materials, cash flow, main contracts etc. Such monitoring and reporting include phasing, comparisons vs internal & external budgets and forecasts, the root causes of variances vs original assumptions, the direct and indirect impacts and correcting actions of the variances;
* To functionally interact on continuous basis with budget, planning and control team and decommissioning team to receive guidance and instructions in order to promote cost control methodologies and procedures as well as to align controlling objectives to those of the company; to provide updates and feedbacks from the JVs to the team for consolidation purposes; to coordinate and to liaise on the team's behalf with technical departments and asset owners as may be required;
* To proactively interact with technical departments and asset owners on a continuous basis in order to provide each other updates and feedbacks of operations and their impacts on budget performances as well as reviewing budget performance data and provide revisions in order to ensure revised budget or updated forecast reflect the actual operations and updated projections.
* To work with technical departments and asset owners in month end or whenever necessary in order to review incoming and outgoing billings, provide accruals and cost allocation criteria for the month end accounting closure;
* To work with other JV and corporate accountants to ensure the accounting of the JV assets timely and accurately reflect the operation activities; and to help drawing up financial statements and accounting reports where information and comments on operation activities and budget performances are needed;
* To ensure, by working with technical departments, treasury team and JV accountants, that the JVs cash flow positions are optimized; to be actively involved in cash calling process where budget and AFE information needs to be checked against.
* To be fully aware of the key performance indicators of JV asset owners and higher level management and to assist them in meeting such performance targets by giving sensible advice for consideration from JVs budget and cost control perspectives;
* To interact with JV partners' budget and cost control counterparts to obtain and provide relevant information, reports and analysis as approved by JV Accounting Manager\Delegate and/or Asset Owners;
* To assist in updating and maintaining JV cost control designs, functions and master data of SAP whenever required;

Other areas
* Provide assistance, when requested, the preparation of financial statements
* Provide support to other finance teams and perform ad hoc duties as required
* Ensure adherence to the Company's Health, Safety & Environment policies, procedures and standards.
* Fully comply with the company's Code of Ethics and Compliance Model.

Education & Professional Qualifications:
* Degree qualified in Accounting, Economics, Business Management or equivalent
* Qualification in one of the professional Accounting Bodies (e.g. CIMA or ACCA).

Required Experience and Technical Competencies (relevant experience and technical skills):
* MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook etc.
* Excellent skills in SAP or other similar ERP systems
* Strong ability in managing, interpreting and making use of huge quantity of data/information/excel working papers and doing management write-up;
* Previous relevant experience in a similar role/position, especially in drilling and project management cost controlling role.
* Good presentation skills

Working Conditions:
* Flexibility to work overtime and during weekends may be requested during year-end and quarterly closing periods or in special circumstances.
