The Role:
To co-ordinate source records required for our Signalling projects through the project lifecycle, assisting Project Managers in the management, control and distribution of records and documents


* Provide advice and assistance to Project Managers regarding existence and availability of source records at project commencement
*Order source records, IECC and SSI data in accordance with NRG (or equivalent) procedures.
*Record and distribute source records on receipt to the project teams
* Coordinate signatures for amended source and ensure appropriate Network Rail (or other client) acceptance, liaising with the customer if any queries are raised
* Liaise with relevant internal parties to ensure they have their copies of source and/or drawings in a timely manner
*Coordinate records in the event of a parallel or overlapping design agreement
* Record and maintain information on source records and employ appropriate version control of records throughout the lifecycle
* Issue appropriate information to Network Rail (or other client) on source records as part of project progress reporting
* Ensure source records are prepared for return to NRG (or equivalent) in a timely manner, supported by the relevant, approved testing and commissioning documentation
* Act as a point of contact with NRG (or equivalent) to seek clarification and advice regarding source records, and with external companies at their recommendation
* Liaise with Project Managers and project team members to provide information and guidance regarding source records
* Distribute controlled and uncontrolled documents for acceptance and for general issue to internal and external customers, using their preferred method of issue
* Assist with the creation and maintenance of project libraries on SharePoint and archive completed projects as appropriate


* Project Managers, and PEM/CEMs where appointed, in the provision of various aspects of project records control
*NRG, Network Rail and other external customers with respect to records information


* Understanding of relevant Network Rail/other client procedures relating to source record management
* Good understanding of project management procedures with respect to the control of records in the project lifecycle and relevant project deliverables.
