The Role:
To create visually engaging, innovative and functional designs for our applications and systems, working collaboratively with Business Analysts and UX team to deliver high-fidelity designs, UI pattern libraries and style guides.

KEY ELEMENTS OF ROLE
 Your responsibilities will include all areas of design relating to the user interface; using knowledge, expertise and skills to ensure our products provide a first class user experience
 Present the user interface visually so that information is easy to understand, easy to use and visually engaging
 Ensuring work/ designs produced are representative of company brand
 Prepare work by gathering research information and materials
 Work collaboratively with colleagues and other key stakeholders to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and user-experience
 Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes engineers and product managers in order to create simple, easy-to-use software
 Translate business requirements, user needs, technical requirements into designs that are intuitive, enticing, easy to use
 Keep up to date with the latest standards, changes and trends in visual design
 Convert storyboards, user-journey maps and wireframes into high fidelity UI designs that provide an optimal experience for our user base
 Undertake activities in accordance with Company policy, procedures and practice, paying particular attention to safety and security requirements/instructions

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Ability to understand the balance between design, business objectives and user needs
 Expert knowledge of user-centered design principles and the ability to put these into practice, executing interaction design and visual design as a part of a multi-disciplinary team
 Understanding of common software project management tools and techniques
 Understanding of common software development tools and techniques
 3+ years' professional experience in designing user interfaces for web based software applications
 The ability to refine other people's ideas and come up with new ones to create a high quality visual experience
 Well organised, responsible and dedicated, with the ability to work on multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines
 Self-learning, able to learn new tools quickly and work in a fast evolving environment.
 Proven ability to deliver and communicate designs to senior managers and stakeholders
 Proficient in Sketch and Axure, or equivalent design tools
