The Role:
A position for a Cost Administrator has risen for a tenacious and knowledgeable Cost Administration professional seeking a challenging and diverse role within a motivated team environment.
The purpose of this position is to provide innovative and analytical recommendations to improve the efficiency of set routines or work schedules in order to influence field personnel and improve stock control and accounting.
As the successful candidate your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Create Purchase Requisitions in SAP using Drilling/Completion Schedules and for Well Engineering
  • Complete Service Entry Sheets and Goods Receipts upon receiving approved documentation
  • Using SAP action queries from Accounts Payable for discrepancies when invoices are not correct
  • Provide assistance to Well Engineers, Well Engineering Accountant & Cost Engineers for monitoring of costs per well to ensure correct close-out of wells costs
  • Ensure Contract and Procurement processes are upheld
  • Maintain Well Engineering Invoice Register
  • Attend weekly Team Meeting and Well Engineering Monthly meetings
  • Complete Timesheets in SAP regularly

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in finance and accounting (desirable) or relevant experience
  • Mandatory SAP experience
  • Understanding of best practice cost control and project accounting techniques
  • Experience in cost forecasting and cost allocation
  • Proven experience in tracking costs desirably in a Well Engineering Environmen
