The Role:
The ER/IR Advisor will work alongside the HR stakeholders in upholding the ER/IR environment and identify emerging ER/IR trends. With the guidance of the ER/IR Manager the role will be key in, developing and implementing strategies with a view to resolute ER/IR queries including complex HR case management, grievance resolution, workplace investigations, performance management and disciplinary matters.

This is an initial 12 month contract working in the Brisbane CBD.

Responsibilities will include but may not be limited to:
Support the development and implementation of ER/IR strategies
Support the country ER/IR strategic planning process and deliver specific ER/IR outcomes consistent with that plan
Adopt a preventative approach to the proactive identification and management of workplace ER/IR operational matters
Support the IR management of third party contractors, including the implementation of Industrial Relations Management Plans (IRMPs)
Support and contribute to the development and implementation of IR risk assessments
Provide day to day ER/IR advice to line managers

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in human resources, industrial relations, legal, or business
Subject matter expert with Australian ER/IR framework, legislation & regulations
Practical experience with employee engagement, industrial relations and complex case management
Able to identify and understand local external market trends (economic, political, social) and derives insights to drive effective a long-term ER/IR environment
Strong diagnostic and evaluation skills
Strong collaboration, coaching and influencing skills.
