The Role:
Our client requires a Production Geologist to support its business activities undertaken by the non-operated JV assets in Browse and NWS. The current role is initially offered on a 6 months contract, with possibility of extending by another 6+ months.

In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the Production Geology work conducted by the operator and where appropriate performing your own analysis to confirm or influence the operator on alternative scenarios if justified.

* You will evaluate the operator's reservoir predictions, proposed development well locations, their HC drainage and associated uncertainties.
* During engagements with the operator you will test that they have properly integrated regional geological data, seismic data, sedimentological models, structural geological models, petrophysical and reservoir engineering data.
* You will also check for any updates of the models as new data becomes available and assess materiality for upcoming internal business plan and reserves reporting cycles.
* Facilitate frequent communication with peers in the area/studies teams, such that best practices, opportunities for synergy and transfer of technology are considered by the operator and JV parties.
* You will support your NOV team members to perform technical and economical evaluations of any opportunities proposed by the operator.
* Participate in JV technical reviews, project assists, and formal project reviews with the objective of ensuring projects are properly assured to avoid late findings at key decision gates.
* Contribute to subsurface reports and responsible for secure storage of data, maps and reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* University degree in Geoscience with circa 6+ years' experience in Production Geology and related subsurface evaluation work. Have knowledge in the core discipline areas of Sedimentology, Stratigraphy and /or Structural Geology.
* Fulfils or exceeds the JCP requirements for a Production Geologist, with a level of knowledge in Seismic Interpretation
* Involvement in the formulation, construction and execution of field development plans and participation in integrated field studies and reservoir modelling exercises and a high level of appreciation of the impact these field studies have on field development and business decisions
* Skill level at static reservoir modelling based on hands-on usage of such tools (PETREL), and Static Resource Volume Estimation, with strong knowledge of the SPE PRMS & SEC-P reserves static resource guidelines.
* A good understanding and skills in the range of PG activities from well planning to field development planning, together with operational exper

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience in large offshore gas field developments is advantageous
* Previous exposure to NWS and / or Browse reservoirs is advantageous
