The Role:
14/14 days on/off, 12 hour days
Alpine, AK

Assignment Scope:
The Startup Engineer serves as the primary client engineering representative that provides support to Operations, Maintenance, Construction, and other field support groups for a specific project or suite of projects. This is a key technical leadership position in assuring the business unit meets overall business goals and objectives for surface facilities performance and project integration. Specific functions include, but are not limited to, the following:
* Complete formal mechanical completions walk down for a designated system or sub system.
* Work with Projects and Operations on system turnover. Specifically, work with the designated CPO Coordinator & FCO Supervisor to ensure proper sign offs are provided by O&M personnel.
* Create and manage the MoCs for all phases of operation - identify phases, create MoCs, and assign all tasks.
* Conduct PSSRs.
* Develop or refine Operating Procedures with the Project Operator including Commissioning and Startup procedures.
* Ensure PHA findings are resolved. Evaluate field changes to determine if they affect the PHA.
* Review redlined drawings and datasheets for accuracy functionality and operability from a process point of view and for any impacts to critical safety devices and philosophies.

Requirements:
* BS Degree in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering
* 3+ years of Oil and Gas Industry experience
* Knowledge of Facility Engineering fundamentals including a working knowledge of Process Safety Management (PSM) and Management of Change (MOC)
* Knowledge of Industry Codes, Standards and Recommended Practices
* Ability to prioritize and execute multiple assignments in a changing environment
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Strong team leadership skills - Must to able to foster working relationships with numerous levels of the organization and other departments
* Strong preference for North Slope experience

Work Schedule / Location: This role is based on the North Slope at Alpine. Work hours are 12 hours/day, 2 week on / 2 week off schedule.
