The Role:
Basic Purpose/Accountabilities:
* Manage individual projects within the GKA and WNS Small Project Portfolio.
* Develop, communicate, and gain alignment on project execution strategies and plans.
* Execute those strategies.
* Serve as the central point of contact for all assigned projects.
* Achieve project budget and schedule targets within acceptable ranges.
* Track and forecast cost on all projects using CPAI systems.
* Effectively communicate with the NS Planners about upcoming projects for field execution.
* Effectively hand off project responsibilities to the North Slope Planners once the design is complete, materials are on order and the installation timing is agreed.

Primary Functions/Responsibilities:
* Follow the Small Project Management System to deliver the projects.
* Build working project teams that are focused on delivering the projects.
* Assemble estimates for funding purposes
* Proactively assess project needs with a focus on a 2-3 month look ahead.
* Ensure cost and schedule information is updated and accurate for each project.
* Interface with Discipline and Facility Engineers as needed to progress the design.
* Resolve problems and mitigate project risk.
* Manage the procurement process with a focus on Long Lead Material, Fabrication, and Contracting.
* Resolve scope issues with project stakeholders, as appropriate.
* Develop a Project Execution Plan (PEP) for each project.
* Identify resources and contracting strategy required to develop the project plan.
* Develop a high level milestone schedule and overall budget for both upcoming phase and total project.

(Continued) Primary Functions/Responsibilities:
* Plan and manage the execution of final engineering and design phases to ensure scope control and product quality.
* Plan and manage the fabrication activities to build and install the required facilities.
* Track and manage the project cost and schedule included in the plan. Analyze the actual performance against the plan and make adjustments consistent with plan objectives.
* Communicate to the team, management, partners, suppliers, and customers. Keep all stakeholders informed of decisions (management and technical) progress and issues.
* Communicate the project budget, schedule and key milestones to the extended project team to enable team members to provide technical input and assistance at appropriate times without rework or inefficiencies. (Discipline Engineering, Operations, etc.).

* Coordinate management and technical decisions among affected parties-ensure no one is left out.
* Exercise authority to control and monitor team members in concert with the Resource Managers.
* Communicate difficult issues to management and obtain their support for resolving resource or scope conflicts.
* Award project-specific scopes of work to vendors selected from the portfolio's strategic vendor list.
* Resolve contractor disputes, compliance and performance. Elevate to the Resource Manager, if needed.
* Effectively work with the North Slope Planners to communicate project status and upcoming field execution timing.
* Consciously transfer field execution responsibilities to the North Slope Planners.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Critical Skills:
* Application of project management fundamentals to deliver projects
* PMP Certification Desirable but not required
* Specific Oil and Gas Project Management Experience


Leadership Criteria:
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills, including the ability to interact effectively with all levels of management and technical staff
* Demonstrated high levels of initiative and self-motivation, including the ability to work on and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment
* Well-developed planning skills including the ability to meet commitments and produce desired results

Education / Experience:
5+ years of oil and gas industry experience
