The Role:
Preferred
* Geology and/or Geophysics background

Technical Writer -AKBU IT
Work with IT and geoscience staff to deliver documentation in support of the Nxtgen G&G project. Work collaboratively with the Geologists, Geophysicists, Petro Physicists, and IT Staff to document workflows, procedures, naming conventions and other relevant topics of interest.

Responsibilities
* Work with IT staff, geologists, geophysicists, and Petro physicists to document workflows and business processes including information and data management.
* Develop checklists, reference material, training exercises, cheat sheets, and other user facing materials
* Post materials to appropriate collaboration systems, including but not limited to Sharepoint, Microsoft Teams, and OneNote.
* Create documentation associated with data migration including crosswalks of old value to new value mappings using a consistent layout and format
* Create documentation related to data integration including data source and destination, interface schedule and frequency, data transformations and associated information using a consistent layout and format
* Correlate questions and answers to develop and update frequently asked questions
* Run previously developed reports and build illustrations depicting trends. Develop written communication that conveys adoption rates and positive or negative trends identified in the data.
* Translate complex concepts and workflows into organized, consumable documents
* Present complicated information in a simplified form, produce high quality documents in easy-to-understand
* Research, develop and document test scripts
* Maintain continuity of style in produced documentation
* Act as document librarian to organize, store, and present various documents and artifacts generated by the project

Qualifications

Required
* Strong organization skills, ability to present material in an explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
* Expertise in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, OneNote, Skype for Business, Streams, Visio, Planner)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Interview and listening skills
* Proven experience in technical writing position
* Exceptional writing, illustration, and grammar skills with attention to detail
* Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
* Takes ownership of actions and follows through on commitments
* Must be able to prioritize requests and multi-task
