The Role:
We are looking for skilled analysis engineers, capable of delivering static and dynamic analysis of components, assemblies and systems (mechanical / thermal analyses).

You will be responsible for undertaking the simulation work for the most complex and challenging of problems within the F1 product engineering group. You will also be responsible for working with design engineers to ensure that their calculations and analyses are completed to best practice. The overall purpose is to ensure that the designs released by the product engineering group are right first time whilst meeting the often competing targets of performance, mass, cost and reliability.

Through the practical, structured use of analysis methods and the training of others within the team, the quality and lead time for fully engineered solutions will reduce, allowing us to bring performance and reliability to the circuit in reduced times scales

Role Specific Accountabilities:

* Delivering world class simulation driven solutions, supported by first principles engineering to meet demanding project targets.
* Technical development of processes
* Championing best practice & providing support & training to peers
* Communications of technical solutions including the writing of technical reports

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Excellent first principles engineer
* Equally confident in hand calculations and complex simulations
* Expert in the use of linear and non-linear structural analysis simulation tools and pre/post processors, preferably using Abaqus
* Solid understanding of internal combustion engines / rotating machinery and their sub-systems, including mechanical and thermal loading (internally and externally generated)
* Minimum 4 years post graduate experience in a challenging role demonstrating the use of analytical tools to complement and enhance the design of complex, highly loaded components/systems
* Detailed understanding of materials and their properties

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
* Ability to read & create engineering drawings
* 3D Modelling (Catia V5 preferable but not essential)
* Multi-Body Dynamics experience
