The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Logistics Coordinator for a 12 month contract with the UK

Duration: 12 months+
Location: Preston
Day Rate: TBC
Start Date: ASAP

Basic purpose Ensure coordinated, optimised and compliant movement of people, goods and equipment into, within and off the site

Full understanding and commitment to the Company's HSE Policy and Standards; fully committed to supervising the safe execution of logistics activities; familiar with industry safety language, policies, accreditation and culture; full understanding of the safety agenda in the sector and the ability to apply safety rules at a pragmatic level including communicating commitment to staff, suppliers and contractors.
As a member of the site team, be prepared to champion and supervise safe working practices
Planning and Coordination:
Ability to build, monitor and execute an integrated plan and understand detailed works programmes including critical dates.
Ability to work as part of a multi-function team, to incorporate diverse input into an integrated and prioritised plan
Contracts: Understand logistics and transportation contracts
IT: Fluent in the use of standard Microsoft Office programme, Excel, Word and planning tools of choice
Environmental factors Operational Oil & Gas drilling and production site

Formal reporting line Site Manager (functional reporting line to Commercial and Supply Manager)
Internal customers PNR Phase 1 Project Manager and Team, Supply Chain Team

Internal suppliers Site management team, Project Team, Business Resilience/Security
External Suppliers / Providers / Partners Principal Contractors and their sub-contractors, logistics providers, principal contractors and subcontractors
Within the following areas of responsibility a self-managed collaborative, flexible and proactive
approach will be required in order to ensure that all company and key project objectives are achieved on time:
Logistics Coordination
The following duties will need to be conducted in a self-managed collaborative, flexible and proactive way in order to ensure that all company and key project objectives are achieved on time:
Build and maintain a minimum 5 day look-ahead, capturing all required logistics movements
(personnel, materials and equipment) onto, within and off the site to support the operational
Coordinate input from site management team, in particular the Stage Manager and Security Manager, to ensure that all required logistics movements are prioritised and are achievable
Work with Supply Chain and Finance teams to ensure Purchase Orders in place for all the site requirements.
Ensure that the requirements of the Transport Management Plan are communicated to all logistics providers and that the TMP is complied with
Work with principal contractors for each operational stage to ensure that their logistics requirements are integrated in the overall logistics plan
Ensure that Goods/Services are received by the appropriate Site Stage Manager and that paperwork is appropriately communicated to the office-based project team
Liaise with each transport company to ensure timely deliveries / removal of items from site
Maintain register of delivery notes in / out and any non-conformances.
Work with the project team to plan key operational transitions
Suggest improvements in processes to optimise logistics planning and execution
Determine and arrange local purchases to assist Stage Manager / Site Manager
Record and provide feedback to stakeholders and management regarding transport and logistics providers' performance levels

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Formal qualifications Good A-levels or equivalent, SMSTS preferred
Experience Minimum of 5 years' experience of logistics support in construction, infrastructure and/or oil & gas
