The Role:
* To follow the entire course of development and delivery of Company long lead items.
* To ensure Project safety standards and specifications are met.
* To co-ordinate and provide engineering expertise with other disciplines.
* To ensure that interfaces with other engineering disciplines (process, flow assurance, piping layout, electrical,
instrumentation, static mechanical, etc.) are adequately, timely addressed and properly engineered.
* To follow the progress of the rotating equipment engineering work performed by the contractor and
supporting documents produced by the contractor.
* To check the quality of the engineering documents prepared by the contractor, and to comment on and/or
approve these, in accordance with contract procedures and requirements.
* To check the incorporation of such comments by the contractor.
* To review, provide comments or approve rotating equipment technical bid evaluation
* To ensure that all rotating equipment datasheet and specifications are well defined prior to procurement.
* To contributes technically to the discipline from detailed design through to plant start-up.
* To ensure that the design of the installations complies with maintenance, operability, safety practices and
regulations.
* To optimise reliability.
* To monitor and manage the contractor's mechanical team during the detailed design phase and the
construction/start-up phase.
* To monitor the development by the contractor of performance tests for major equipment and packages, at
vendor's/supplier's factory, including the performance tests; and to participate in such tests as appropriate.
* To provide rotating equipment technical inputs and support to operational team requirements.
* To participate in weekly and monthly meetings with the contractor; and in specific ad hoc meetings as required.
* To participate in technical reviews as appropriate:
o at the detailed engineering stage
o related to the procurement/supply activities
o at pre-commissioning stage
o at the construction stage
o at the commissioning stage
* To assist the other project team members as required on all project sites on all rotating equipment
related issues.
* To provide input as necessary for the following, but not limited to, rotating equipment and
engineering workshops and reviews:
o Value Engineering workshop 3D model reviews
o 3D model reviews
o Pre-commissioning and commissioning workshop
o Risk workshop, as appropriated
* To ensure that technical inputs for pre-commissioning and commissioning activities are well defined
and developed by the contractor.
* To prepare data and commentary as required for internal weekly and monthly reports.
* To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard H3SE and H3SE rules implementation
and improvement
* To adopt and demonstrate exemplary behaviour with regard to Ethics and project "code of conduct" policy
* To participate to meetings with partners, authorities and other stakeholders as required.
* To carry out any other duties or tasks that may be required by the position.
* To prepare and submit monthly progress data, including narratives, charts, graphs, etc. on rotating
equipment engineering issues to the Engineering Manager.
