Title: Global Contracts Advisor -IT/ Indirects


REPORTS TO: HEAD OF SCML TRANSFORMATION
DIRECT REPORTS: NONE

POSITION SUMMARY
The Global Contracts Advisor will be responsible for delivering Contracting and Procurement activities focusing specifically on IT and Telco. The role will support the development and implementation of the global category strategy across IT and Telco, working closely with the Indirects Category Lead, to ensure stakeholder engagement and delivery of business objectives and value. The Category Advisor will create tender plans, and deliver both sourcing and contract management activities for the IT organisation, maintaining an overview of all IT partners and vendors per country, expiring contracts and trends on spend.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Has accountability for performing all obligations regarding health, safety and wellbeing of others and themselves, as well as the environment in which the procurement duties are undertaken
* Contribute in development, implementation and governance of the IT Category Strategy
* Consistently maintain market knowledge of IT category
* Collate & interrogate functional demand to ensure consistency across regions & engagement with the market, identifying value and savings opportunities
* Responsible for sourcing strategies, RFI/RFPs, maintaining vendor relationships, supporting negotiations and managing contracts and commercial risk
* Implement and ensure ongoing management of global partnership and framework agreements, setting performance measures and strategic goals.
* Support stakeholder commercial objectives, deliver savings targets and service improvement expectations
* Manage stakeholder expectations and relationship with key stakeholders (IT/SCML and beyond)
* Work with the Indirects Category Lead to deliver broader Indirects Contracts and Procurement activities
* Deliver other tasks and activities that may be assigned from time to time in support of the broader SCML Function

REQUIRED COMPETENCES/ QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE / PROFILE
* Minimum 5 years of experience in IT or Telco contracting/procurement/category management
* Demonstrable experience of tendering , awarding and managing IT and/or Telco related contracts
* Experience of developing and delivering contracting strategies and managing supplier performance and relationships
* Experience of delivery in all aspects of the contract life-cycle (sourcing, tendering, selection, award and post-award contract/supplier management
* Ability to work and build strategic alignment across regions and functions in a matrix organisation
* Requires relevant university degree - minimum Bachelors degree. Further degree and professional qualifications would be an advantage
* Oil & gas experience is preferred
* In certain areas, relevant experience can compensate for lack of formal education
* Knowledge of SAP, P2P and any contract management workflow/systems is required
* Fluent in English (oral and written)
* Must be a team player and able to work with minimal supervision
