The Role:
The role will be joining one of Australia's largest rail engineering consultancies, leading a well-established Signalling team to effectively provide technical expertise in both the conventional and digital space across landmark Queensland Rail projects.

With the growth of both ETCS and CBTC related implementations in Australia, my client requires a highly driven and well-regarded Signalling Professional who appreciates both the significance of maintaining the team's capability for conventional signalling, whilst also supporting the development of new rail signalling technology.

* Provide technical leadership and expertise for conventional signalling and automated train control systems (such as ETCS and CBTC).
* Manage and monitor the technical quality of work performed by the team.
* Promote a culture of technical excellence within the team.
* Mentor junior team members in technical abilities and business development
* Positively recognise the achievements and successes of individuals and the team.
* Review or verify and interpret engineering drawings and reports and provide technical.
* Manage the scope and monitor multiple projects of varying complexity and size.
* Seek information to understand client needs to effectively anticipate and meet/exceed their expectations & encourage 'client focus' in colleagues.
* Define and implement action plans to respond to client feedback in order to exceed client expectations.
* Ensure work outputs comply with quality system and client requirements.
* Proactively build professional networks and industry relationships for effective business and client outcomes.

The successful candidate will have:
* Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Equivalent
* Chartered Professional Engineer status (CPEng) & Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) - if applicable.
* A minimum of 10 - 15 years' industry experience in a similar role.
* Demonstrated competency in providing key technical expertise and managing projects of varying complexity and size.
* Competent in managing risk on substantial rail projects and effectively applying safety in design practices and processes.
* Demonstrated instances of delivering best client outcomes or options which have resulted in time/cost savings.
* Well versed in preparing and reviewing high level and complex technical reports.
* A passion for leading and mentoring fellow engineers
