The Role:
We are currently seeking a Project Engineer to undergo work on a project in design, construct and commissioning for a new mining and processing operation.

Reporting directly to the project manager you will be responsible for:

  • Working well within a team in order to achieve Project objectives
  • Work well with external and internal stakeholders and manage their requirements
  • Priorities tasks required for the role
  • Review and approve external consultants design packages
  • Be involved in invoices, contractor management, progress claims and reporting
  • Expedite the detailed design documentation to meet the project schedule
  • Consult and liaise with the Engineering Manager/Design Manager for technical issues and risks and seek clarity
  • on technical challenges where required
  • Ensure design intent satisfies client business, operations and maintenance requirements;
  • Review and approval of design documentation prior to client issue
  • Prepare Scope of Works document for relevant execution package
  • Develop work packs for the completion of scope definitions and provide assistance to the
  • Installation/construction contractors
  • Ensure all equipment and bulk materials are procured and delivered to site to meet the project schedule


This role will be Perth based and then go to site once construction is underway.

Their belief is to develop creative, comprehensive and sustainable engineering solutions for Property & Buildings, Transportation & Infrastructure, Environment, Industry, Resources (including Mining and Oil & Gas) and Power & Energy sectors. Their WA business are undergoing an exciting growth phase and thus they are seeking an experienced project engineer for their start up project.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Engineering degree in civil, mechanical, or equivalent.
Strong safety focus
Circa of 5 years relevant and current mining or related experience in project start-up (preferred)
Experienced in effective stakeholder/relationship management and with excellent communication skills
Project management experienced for complete delivery of projects in greenfield and/or brownfield mining
Experience managing contract scopes, quality, schedule and cost of package work
You will also have a good understanding of controls, design documentation, procurement processes
