The Role:
The Onshore Drilling Fluid & Cement Field Supervisor purpose is to assist with day-to-day field and well-site execution of drilling fluids, cementation and drilling wastes management.
You are also expected to implement new technologies in well fluids, solids control, cement and drilling waste management as well as provide advice on minimizing the SHE impact of fluids and equipment to the operation.
Some of the key deliverables and responsibilities for this role are as follows:

* Conduct SHE audits of relevant Operations sites during drilling campaign pertaining to cement, drilling fluids and drilling waste management.
* Review daily fluids reports, cement programs and attend daily rig calls in addition to providing troubleshooting and problem-solving advice during drilling difficulties to the operations team and Fluid/Cement/Waste Management Supervisor.
* Supervises the work of the mud, cement and drilling waste service companies engineers and supervisors in the field including receiving daily information from the service companies' to ensure operations are according to prescribed programme and making periodic visits to the rig site to ensure proper application of the programmes and availability of the proper tools and materials needed.
* Studies and edits programmes of various service companies depending on type of drilling/cementing/waste management operations.
* Analyses and evaluates the mud materials and/or chemicals to ensure that they meet specifications, includes oversees required laboratory tests and analyses, and evaluating the materials and/or chemicals used in the field.
* Ensures full compliance with d-EMP commitments regarding drilling waste management.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
20 years fluids, cement and drilling waste management experience in the Oil and Gas environment
 Knowledge of Stress Cage Reservoir Drilling Fluids
 Experience in Water Base Mud Cuttings Disposal onshore .
 Highly computer literate, competent with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook programs and understanding of service company proprietary software's.
 Ability to work independently, handle multiple tasks and set priorities.
 Experience in onshore drilling operations is highly desirable.
 Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
 Fluent in English [essential].
