The Role:
A lifting Engineer is Accountable for Coordinating, planning, preparing, and Monitoring all lifting and rigging activities under the Purchase Contract.
He ensures that all lifting and rigging activities are carried out in strict compliance with COMPANY's Lifting & Rigging standards and legislative requirements.
He is also accountable for ensuring that all lifting and rigging tools and equipment are in good working condition, inspection and maintenance is carried out adequately and timely, and that inspection records are maintained.
He is responsible for ensuring all documentation (lifting & rigging plans, method statements, calculations, etc.) is presented to COMPANY's lifting department in a timely fashion and all submitted documentation is correct.
He is responsible for producing Lifting and Rigging Method Statements, Risk assessments, Plot Plans, Rigging Studies, Heavy Lift and Complex Lift packs.
He is also responsible for Transport plans and related documents pertaining to Lifting, Rigging & Jacking
The incumbent shall work closely with COMPANY's Lifting & Rigging department and with any third-party crane supplier appointed by COMPANY.

Our Client is a major operating company, currently involved in some of the largest energy projects in the world.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
As minimum he should possess following qualifications:
a) Lifting Engineer must be Certified Engineer (BEng Equivalent or Chartered);
b) must be proficient in reading, writing and speaking English (IELTS6) ;
c) must have minimum of five (5) years previous heavy lift experience in the position working in the oil and gas industry;
d) must have minimum three (3) years' experience creating heavy complex drawing's in AutoCAD, with the skill to produce detailed and technical AutoCAD lifting and rigging plot plans and studies to scale.
e) must be must have experience in a similar heavy lifting and rigging role preferably gained through working for one of the international heavy lifting companies;
f) must be Expert knowledge in lifting equipment, lifting equipment selection for procurement and task, lifting equipment inspection and lifting equipment devaluation calculations;
g) must thorough understanding of the testing requirements for lifting equipment.
h) must have Expert Knowledge
