The Role:
The Process Engineer will be instrumental in progressing the various projects by providing process engineering support to these projects. Provide assurance through participation in HAZOP, Peer/Line Review, Project Integrated Review (PIR), QRA, Project Risk Assessment in compliance to the Technical Standards Philosophy.
In addition, the Process engineer is expected to contribute to the maturation of the process discipline as well as to assist in the development of inexperienced Process Engineers.

The main purpose of the role is to provide process engineering support, the accountabilities include:

* Establishing a safety-first culture to project delivery based on Life Saving Rules.
* Providing advice and guidance to the engineering contractor's process engineers. Identification of areas for improvement and effective design engineering and project implementation practices.
* Providing advice on deployment of new technology. For effective cost optimization suiting the operational requirements by analyzing and preparing recommendation to ensure proven technology is used whenever possible and to select appropriate development solutions if proven technology is not available. Formulating and developing specification for the proposed new technology for
* Contributing to front-end engineering study, process optimization, data analysis and other process engineering related work(s) in order to meet the set business objectives and requirements.
* Optimization of facilities configurations and establish / recommend best configuration and analyses specific requirement.
* Providing total technical integrity solutions and expertise through technical review / compliance checks and specialized studies.
* Assessing and enhancing facilities design concepts, strategies, philosophies, standards and specifications. Prepare specifications and equipment data sheets complying with codes and standards, regulation and company requirements. Provide engineering skill for the quality vendor data review and verification.
* Taking a lead role in the interdisciplinary evaluation so that the detailed design deliverable package (of detailed drawings, manuals, design report and specification etc.) is optimal for implementation.
* Provide support in operational trouble-shooting and commission / start-up of facilities.
* Incorporate lesson learnt and best practice from Partners and industry.
* Train and develop skill capability and expertise of Junior Engineers in the section.

The successful applicant has to be very experienced in front end and process optimization aspects of his discipline and needs to be comfortable working with limited discipline support. He/She should also have a proven track record of delivery
This position reports to the Lead Process Engineer. There will be direct involvement in the alignment and definition of development plans for Brownfield projects portfolio through close cooperation
with the FEDMs, Project Managers, and Engineering Manager to provide interface management support

Special Challenges:

* Projects are an array of scopes: replacements, re-use, repair, rehabilitation, rejuvenation etc. of legacy equipment from 1980's on multiple facilities which have been without routine maintenance for extended periods.
* To meet the demands for the capturing flared gas and expectations for rapid project implementation.
* To progressively introduce company approach to HSE, project execution, standards and operations. Many interim solutions will need to be identified, evaluated and implemented to bring facilities on line which may not meet company standard processes and acceptance criteria but which will still meet minimum assurance and operational boundaries.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Degree qualified Process Engineer
Minimum of 5 -10 years' experience in upstream Maintenance/Operations, directly for the end client/operator
Applied knowledge of international standards
Experience in brownfield projects, sweet and sour gas, rehabilitation and rejuvenation projects as well as NGL extraction, mol sieves, AGRU, TEG dehydration, gas compression, multiple pipelines, slugcatchers, flare hydraulics, depressurization calculations, process simulations etc.
Strong technical foundation with the ability to work independently, as well as challenge and support others.
