Job Descriptions:

-Assist Technician with overhauling, fitting and maintenance work on machines.
-Assist Technician with bunkering and receipt of engine store
-Assist in preparing marine Machinery & Auxiliary System for start-up
-Assist in start and monitor marine Machinery & Auxiliary systems.
-Follow operational and safety procedures in all aspects of work.
-To perform welding, gas cutting and lathe work when required.
-lsolate and reinstate marine Machinery & Auxiliary System for Maintenance when required.
-Perform scheduled and unplanned maintenance safety and effectively under PTW Risk Assessment and MS procedures
-Ensure work is correctly and accurately identified, recorded and communicated Perform general maintenance, greasing, cleaning, filter changing and housekeeping.
-Required to correctly operate a Lathe, Milling and Shaping Machines, Gas Arc and or Plasma cutting.
-Maintain all portable power tools to limit of responsibility.
-Ensure that any controlled process discharges from area of responsibility to the environment are within prescribed limits.
-Identify and halt any unplanned (gas or liquid discharges where possible, and reported immediately according to policy, procedure and regulation.
-Deal with equipment, waste or other materials for disposal according to the correct procedure
-Do not waste resource such as PPE, stock items, materials, tools or spare parts.
-Securing of bunkers / water / Saraline and stores barges / vessels.
-Preparing oil spill equipment and fire fighting before commence bunkering.

Qualifications:

-At least 5 years experience as Oiler / Fitter with qualification in accordance to regulation V/1 of the STCW 1995.
-Experience as Engine Room watch keeper on-board crude oil tanker is an advantage.
-FSO operation experience desirable.
-ABS/class coded welder certified.
-Experience in Permit to work systems and risk assessment.
