The Role:
KEY TASKS AND CAPABILITIES
Job Specific

1. Responsible for the project management of all new and existing group-wide engineering projects through technical feasibility, pre-contract, design construction phases to commissioning and handover.
2. Undertaking technical feasibility studies, develop project plan incorporating design construction and cost modelling, and set milestones using recognised project management tools and techniques.
3. Managing and producing all relevant project documentation to include technical drawings, bid preparation, tenders, risk assessments, permits to work and planning/construction permits as required.
4. Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, to specification and in line with stated budget and performance targets.
5. Managing safety, quality and environmental systems throughout the course of the project ensuring regular reviews and implementation of improvements as required.
6. Liaising with government agencies, local authorities utility companies etc to ensure the project complies with all statutory regulations and legal requirements and the relevant permission and approvals are obtained.
7. Co-ordinating the on-site works including contractors, sub-contractors and specialist engineering interventions as required.
8. Providing technical advice and support to the PD group.
9. Reviewing the design and construction of maintenance assets.
10. Preparing and presenting reports specifically project progress reports, general asset report, crane and plant replacement report, asbestos in building summary, sites of possible pollution, energy report and maintenance reports.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Four C+ GCSE's including Maths and English.

ONC/HND in Mechanical Engineering
