The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a contracts administrator for a contract position for an Oil & Gas company in London

Duration: 6 months (likely to be reviewed and extended)
Working Pattern: Monday-Friday
Location: London

The Operations and Improvements (OPI) unit within Marketing & trading (MT) consists of gas pipeline operations, waterborne crude operations, waterborne liquids, light ends and LNG operations, deal handling, business improvement and compliance, and contracts and claims.
The contracts and claims (CC) department provides contract, demurrage and claims handling for MT and related Asset Management contracts on a global basis. The department consists 3 teams; Contracts Europe, Contracts Americas and Global Claims, spread across Stavanger, London, Stamford, and Singapore, with expertise in law, contracts, procurement, shipping and economics.
The vacant temporary position is in the Contracts Europe team (MT OPI CC CE) in London, which works closely with the trading, operations, legal, and risk departments on a global basis.
Tasks/Responsibilities: MT OPI CC Contracts Europe works closely with the trading and operation entities to provide a structured approach in the management of contracts within MMP MT and AM. Tasks and responsibilities include the following:
Preparation and issue of physical and derivative sales and purchase contracts and confirmations related to sales, trading and supply, both short-term and long-term
Preparation and issue of special downstream, shipping, field, storage, and terminal contracts and related service agreements to support the complete sales, trading and supply service requirements globally
Evaluation of conditions of sales to/from customers and Incoterms
Providing advice to trading, operations, and risk departments in contract matters
Coordination with the legal department on special issues whenever needed or appropriate
Coordination with MT offices in Stavanger, London, Stamford (USA), Brussels, and Singapore in contractual matters
Coordination with the MT OPI CC Claims team

Ability to provide contractual support and advise to traders, operators and Legal personnel in a dynamic environment
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Structured and result oriented
Ability to handle complex contractual issues
Ability to coach and train others on contract related issues
High ethical awareness
Good cooperating and supporting skills
Good IT Skills

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Education & Experience:
Educated to university level with experience of working within a contracts arena (on the job training will be given).
Experience from contracts, commodity trading, and/or shipping
Preferably at least three years' experience in contract formulation and/or contract administration from oil/gas/power marketing or shipping
Good knowledge of the European energy markets
Good understanding of European gas hubs, and the associated contracts that support trading activities
Ability to deal effectively with counterparties, managing complex enquiries
Fluent written and oral presentation skills in English
