The Role:
The role forms part of the local Finance and Procurement Team having responsibility for general operational procurement, day to day processing of purchase orders, administration of daily supply chain demand and general administrative tasks as required. The role also supports the other Procurement Consultants in respect of preparation and tendering of strategic contracts and in meeting procurement and contractual objectives in support of the overall operational and maintenance strategy.

The role will ensure integrity is developed and maintained within procurement and supply chain systems and will drive and maintain a culture where cost efficiency is a cornerstone of daily operations.

The position is based at the company's operational base in Egmere and will require occasional travel to other locations.

Key Tasks:

Providing procurement and administrative support to the operational organization making a strong and positive contribution to the efficiency and performance of the organization.

* Working alongside functional managers, review the current cost, quality and effectiveness of purchases.
* Provide daily processing of business-critical purchase requirements in a time pressured environment.
* Maintain and manage effective electronic and manual filing systems.
* Ensure master and pricing data within company systems is accurate and up to date.
* Proactively follow up with the site team in regard to purchase order and contract renewals.
* Participate in operational and project planning meetings as required.
* Participate in and contribute to a positive HSE culture.
* Follow up invoice and supplier queries from a procurement perspective.
* Contribute to and drive cost efficiency improvements by challenging functional managers' requirements.
* Develop and maintain good relationships with all suppliers and stakeholders

Deputize for and support the Procurement Consultant as required:
* Participate and assist in the tender process with follow up actions as required.
* Ensure integrity and due diligence requirements are complied with at all times.
* Follow up contract negotiations as required with corporate legal department.
* Participate in contract review meetings.
* Engage in and manage supplier audits from a procurement perspective.

* Provide support to site on specific tasks in regard to occasional and periodic administrative duties.

Key Relationships:
* Daily interface with the operational team
* Daily interface with key suppliers
* Actively participate in relevant parent company networks

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Experience of contract and procurement administration in a high pressured operational environment.
* Experience of fully integrated business systems (preferably SAP) is essential.
* Experience in the renewable energy industry is advantageous.
