The Role:
Fircroft are seeking a Commissioning Electrical Engineer for a contract position within Georgia, Europe

Rotation: 4x4
Accommodation/flights: Provided
Day rate: TBC

Expertise needed: gas turbines, compressors, generators and also solar turbines

The Commissioning Field Electrical is the field focal point for all issues concerning the Emergency, Small Power, LV&HV Distribution and Cathodic protection systems and equipment during the construction/commissioning phase and startup, through handover to Operations.

* Acting as the Authorised Electrical Person (AEP) following assessment and approval by Electrical Technical Authority
* Assessing and approving Authorised Electrical Persons (AEP), Authorised Instrument Persons (AIP) and Competent Isolators (CI)
* Assisting Lead Electrical Engineer in reviewing and approving switching programmes for complex reconfigurations of the HV Electrical system.
* Approving isolation processes for LV systems.
* Providing engineering assistance to the construction contractor for resolution of electrical issues, etc.
* Witnessing and approving site acceptance tests.
* Responsible for the compilation of relevant Commissioning Test Procedures (CTP) for the Electrical Power, Distribution and Generation systems.

* Responsible for the execution of all relevant work-scopes detailed within the CTP's.
* Responsible for the safety & management of all Suppliers' representatives when on-site for the commissioning works of subsequent items of equipment.
* Compilation of all necessary reports as/when required.
* Ensuring all Electrical commissioning personnel carryout their work and are fully trained in accordance with site PTW procedures
* Encourage development of National personnel
* Provide advice, coaching and training of National personnel

The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* An Engineering degree or equivalent qualifications / experience or a minimum of 10 years experience in similar roles in the oil and gas industry
* HV trained with a valid certificate.
* An experienced discipline engineer who demonstrates good communication and team ethos skills and have significant experience of working on the commissioning of a major Project within the oil and gas industry
