The Role:
* Coach and mentoring of lifting team
* Stand in for Lifting engineer during holidays
* Assist Lifting Engineer during peak times with detailed planning and execution of CAT 3 Lifts
* Verify engineering and methods for lifts across sites
* Participate in the RAP's and Go-No-Go processes
* Implementation of recognised best lifting practises across region.
* Ensure Company global lifting standards (UDP) are used across sites
* Assist Company in achievement of "0" lifting incidents
* Assist Project lifting engineer
* Assist and support the Project Managers to achieve the project objectives
* Promote the Project lifting procedure & Objectives and ensure compliance to Company UDP for lifting operations, through coaching of site team, contractors and our service providers
* Demonstrate HSE leadership by actively engaging the Company site team and construction contractors with actions that contribute to delivering on Company's HSE expectations
* Promote surveillance of all lifting activities in accordance with the project quality documents
* Ensure Contractors lifting personnel are competent and with appropriate records and KPI's
* Surveillance of the contractor's competency assessment process for personnel undergoing trade tests.
* Ensure that the Hold & Witness points and other requirements identified within lift Plans are fully implemented by the contractors
* Supervise Company discipline lifting site team and deploy site lifting coordinators according to project priorities and skill sets
* Participate in the decision process relating to the disposition of non-conformance, concessions to specification and codes that are requested by contractor.
* Determine, track and report lifting related Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
* Communicate all potential lifting related risk and improvement issues to the Project Managers, construction managers and HSE team
* Take ownership of lifting related execution risks and drive them to acceptable levels
* Ensure that lifting related Action Items are addressed and closed in a timely manner
* Participate in various site meetings and initiatives as required by the Project Managers, construction and HSE managers
* Lead and/or coordinate weekly / monthly / quarterly lifting meetings with contractor, and site team
* Support Site QA/QC Teams as require
* Lead and/or participate in quality reviews, investigations and site audits

The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Internationally recognised technical qualification e.g. Higher National Certificate or equivalent
* Level 4 - specific training for Lifting Technical Authority
* Expertise in comprehending, interpreting, and communicating lifting specifications, fabrication drawings, lifting methods, rigging and structural calculations & specifications, in-depth understanding of international standards and LOLER, inspection and certification requirements / reports.
* Full understanding of planning and work flow process
* Ability to communicate upper management and to multi language work force
* Proficient in the use of MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint and AutoCad
* Ability to operate various contractors Document Control systems such as Documentum,DocProNet or similar
* 15 years' experience in heavy construction
* Experience with advanced lifting techniques such as Jack and Skid, Superlift, Row-Rows, strand jacks
* Must have experience of construction of Drilling Modulus
