The Role:
* Responsible for planning and reporting of Project activities covering engineering, procurement, construction & commissioning & start up - working closely with the contractor and members of the Project team.
* To work as part of the planning team to providing the functional planning support to delivery of the Project.
* Support the Planning Team Lead in achieving the objectives of the planning team.
* Support the Project Managers and Project Engineers to achieve contract objectives.
* Ensure timely and high quality delivery against key planning activities and deliverables
* Encourage contractor compliance with contractual planning, scheduling and reporting requirements especially those detailed contractually within the Project Coordination Procedures
* Ensure key planning deliverables are developed, maintained, assessed, and communicated:
* Produce and maintain project reports appropriate for the stage of the Project.
* Assist in performing "what if" and/or risked scheduling scenarios (as required) in order to recover schedule deviations along with assisting with development of alternative work sequences
* Assist in providing experience-based estimates for best-case, most-likely, and worst-case activity durations as inputs to schedule risk analysis (SRA) activities
* Actively observe, assess, evaluate, and determine project activities first-hand to ensure satisfactory execution progress in accordance with the project schedule
* Ensure that actual progress is incorporated into the Live Schedule
* Participate in 6-monthly planning input to Cost and Schedule Verification Reviews (CSVR's) including bottoms-up review of the schedule, applying an overview to the contractor's schedule or re-base lining if deemed necessary. Lead team discussions regarding planning and progress
* Ensure compliance with planning and scheduling practices and procedures

The Company:
A global Oil & Gas operator with extensive operations in the Caspian Region.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* 5-10 years planning and scheduling experience including in Offshore Brownfield.
* Experience closely aligned with job responsibilities.
* Experience of using Primavera version 6 (P6) and Microsoft Project planning software.
* Higher National Certificate/ Higher National Diploma (optional)
* Experience in schedule risk assessment (desirable)
