The Role:
A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced Estimator working on underground mining tenders. The role will be based in Perth working on a portfolio of client projects.

The role will be responsible for the production of high quality tenders ensuring that the proposals meet with the clients bid specifications and offers someone the opportunity to work on a diverse range of commodities.

Key responsibilities includes:

  • Production of tender documentation and identification associated risks involved with any tender submission
  • Provide ongoing support to existing contracts regarding technical and commercial issues
  • Look for areas of continuous improvement to drive efficiencies within the bids and tenders process
  • Support and assist with contract negotiations and approvals
  • Data compilation and reporting of project metrics and equipment
  • Financial modelling including ROI, profitbaility, revenue & cost etc.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:

  • Experienced in underground mining estimation with a sound knowledge of undergournd mining methods and equipment
  • Degree educated in mine engineering or equivalent
  • A background of working within a contracting environment
  • Hard rock expertise
  • Able to demonstrate a strong commitment to a health and safety focused culture
  • Sound understanding of the mining industry and a passion for keeping abreast of information relevant to mining sector
  • Experience of producing high level presentations
  • Sound working knowledge of relevant systems such as Vulacn, Surpac, Haul Infinity, FPC, Talpac etc
