The Role:
* Check the Approved for Construction (AFC) drawings and raise Request for Clarification (RFC) or Site Technical Query (STQ) for any discrepancies to ensure the drawings are interpreted accurately.
* Check materials required, raise Purchase Requisition (PR), prepare delta Material Take-Off (MTO) and reports related to instrumentation to ensure adequate quantity of materials with right technical specifications are available during project execution and installation.
* Perform site inspections with QC team as and when required to collaborate with other disciplines to clarify clashes or other engineering disputes to ensure instrumentation items delivered are as per approved drawings.
* Communicate with client on Site Technical Queries (STQ) for instrumentation related matters and to obtain client's agreement on the proposed technical solutions to the drawings.
* Perform Technical Bid Evaluation (TBE), attend and witness Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) as well as liaise with vendor on any technical clarification. In addition to supporting procurement on vendor selection and to ensure the materials purchased meet specification.
* Perform Vendor Data Review (VDR), Vendor Data Incorporation (VDI), consolidate data and generate Weight Control Report (WCR) of instrumentation items to meet specific requirements for accurate report submission purposes.
* Prepare and update Ship Loose Report regularly to confirm items to be installed at offshore.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* Degree in Electrical/Electronic (Instrumentation) Engineering or other related discipline from recognised higher learning institution.
* Registered with the Board of Engineering Malaysia (BEM).
* Minimum of ten (10) years working experience as an Engineer, preferably in the Oil & Gas Fabrication industry.
* Familiar with international codes and standard such as IEC, NEMA and client specification such as PTS, GS, SES, DEP etc.
* Familiar with PDMS and other relevant 3D Modelling Software.
* Able to conduct engineering analysis and read engineering drawings
* Only Malaysian candidate will be shortlisted.
