The Role:
MAIN FUNCTIONS
Seeking Geoscientists with significant production related experience. Specifically, experience in unconventionals, carbonate and complex mineralogy environments as well as geosteering applications. In addition, the ability to work with fully integrated Geology and Geophysics datasets. Possible regions of responsibility include Permian Basin (Delaware and Midland Basins and Central Basin Platform), Barnett/South Texas, Arkoma/Mid Continent, East Texas, Rockies, Bakken, and Appalachia. Role will require the integration of geoscience, engineering, land and regulatory. The most important skills utilized in the role are Reservoir Characterization, Subsurface Mapping, Opportunity Generation, Petrophysics and Drill Well Execution. Supports and enhances 2D/3D seismic and wellbore acquisition programs across company. Will interface with the operating groups, other technical specialists, and vendors to provide 2D/3D seismic and borehole seismic survey acquisition solutions which safely meet organizational goals and commitments. May serve as a Formation Evaluation Specialist.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In addition to the Level 1 tasks and responsibilities, a Level 2:
* Experience as exploration geophysicist with high end skills in seismic interpretation
* Proven track record in generating prospects and discovering hydrocarbons
* Interpretation, evaluation and appraisal skills of exploration drilling opportunities using 2D and 3D seismic data, and other geophysical data.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Opportunity Generation, maturation and approvals of wells; well planning and operations support for the drilling of horizontal or vertical development wells in conventional and unconventional reservoirs. Positions involve working closely with Drilling, Land, Government Affairs, Operations, and Reservoir Engineering. * Integration of geologic and geophysical data is imperative in the planning and execution of a well. * During drilling geoscientists will be responsible for steering the lateral sections and keeping the wellbore within the target formation. The ability to understand plays and well plans in a 3-dimensional sense is extremely important.

* Bachelor's degree in Geotechnical or Geophysical required
* 10+ years of industry experience * Geology & Geophysical interpretation skills
* Advance Petrophysical analysis skills in Siliciclastic settings
* Competency in computing applications (Geology & Petrel)
* Strong knowledge of the Petroleum Geology of the local area at a basic minimum
* Geoscience computing skills
* Good team player, ability to work effectively in and with diverse work groups
* Strong mentoring and coaching skills

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS
* Operations geology experience, preferably with operated wells and horizontal drilling.
* Experience in production operations is imperative
* Competency across generalist geological skills, e.g. log analysis, seismic interpretation, stratigraphy, structure etc.
* Ability to work well and communicate effectively within a multi-functional and integrated team.
* Ability to multi-task and handle high workloads, for example simultaneously steering multiple wells while planning others.
* Capacity to fit into culture of fast-moving operations, high activity levels, and the rapid application of lessons learned to new operations, in a relatively informal structure.
* Strong analytical background and skills.
* Effective communication skills, with a commitment to high safety and ethical standards.
