POSITION OVERVIEW
The candidate is responsible for all elements of the C&I discipline comprising Technical Integrity, Fit for purpose designs, Schedule maintenance and cost control. The candidate will report to the Engineering manager and will form part of the Engineering Team and which intern forms part of the Project Management Team.
The Engineering Team will be consist of a small but focussed team who are able to work with minimal supervision and take decisions within their discipline and coordinate the other disciplines as it affects their deliverables

Technical Integrity and Fit for Purpose Design
The candidate is required to:
* Ensure the design maintains the standards set out in the BOD and delivers the facilities that meet with the required functionality and availability.
* Coordinate the Company multi discipline inputs as they relate to the C&I deliverables
* Serve as the focal point for the Client - Contractor interface for the C&I discipline.
* Participate in the safety design processes including HAZAN, HAZOP, SIL Classification as it relates to the C&I discipline
* Review and approval / signatory for design deliverables and documents;
* Ensuring that the equipment selecti9on is in accordance with specifications and all deviations requested are reviewed and approved/ rejected.
Schedule delivery
The candidate is required to ensure that:
* The engineering deliverables produced by the Contractor are in accordance with the agreed schedule. Where necessary to agree on mitigation measures with the Contractor when deliverables are in delay.
* He is able to correctly forecast the delivery of deliverables against the agreed plan
* The procurement cycle follows the agreed schedule and where necessary agree on mitigation measures with the Contractor when procurement deliverables are in delay
* The delivery of equipment and bulks are in line with the base line schedule and where necessary agree on mitigation measures with the Contractor when equipment and material delivery are in delay
Cost Management
The candidate is required to ensure that the scopes of work are fully defined prior to Company agreement on the Contract price such that Variations are kept to an absolute minimum
Where Variations are required the Candidate is required to perform a MOC justifying the change and reasons for its omission/addition
Commissioning and Operations management
The candidate is required to ensure that:
* CONTRACTOR has taken all necessary actions to ensure a smooth pre commissioning, commissioning and operations Transition
* All necessary documentation required for the start-up is in-place in a timely fashion
* Transfer of knowledge from the project to the Operations team take place in a structured and timely fashion
Miscellaneous
The Candidate will also be required to:
* Participate in the evaluation of specific Contracts as instructed by the Engineering Manager
* Perform Ad hoc Tasks as directed by the Engineering Manager
* Support the development of technical strategies and plans, taking into account company objectives, broad stakeholder requirements, and other related considerations in order to support the delivery and regulatory substantiation of control and protection aspects of the new build developments
* Demonstrating a commitment to continuous improvement, identifying and proposing new approaches, technologies, or procedures across the scope of the role

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
o Electronic, Instrumentation, Automation or Control Engineering Degree
o +8 years' experience within the C&I discipline preferably with significant EPC Contractor management experience within the Oil & Gas industry
o Hands on Experience in:
o ICSS (DCS/ESD/FGS/SCADA) design build and commissioning
o Fiscal and allocation Metering
o Good communication skills and able to work as part of a multi - disciplinary team
o Highly Experienced Control & Instrumentation in both Project and Operational roles

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
o Good communication skills, a Team player and able to work as part of a multi - disciplinary team
o English at an advanced level with French desirable (both written and verbal)
o Good interpersonal skills
o Good organisational and problem solving skills with ability in excel and power point and a working knowledge of Document Control functions and processes
o Ability to take initiative and make decisions
o Good Software Skills
