We are looking for a Project Field HSSE Advisor for an upstream revamping project.

The role will start in March/April 2018 for a duration of 1,5 years.

Reporting to the Project HSSE Manager, this role is responsible for the delivery of HSSE oversight, advice and support to the Project team during EXECUTE.

Role & Responsibilities

- Monitors the implementation of all Project HSSE management plans, procedures etc..;
- Participates in the development of Project HSSE procedures as necessary;
- Attends Hazard Identification Task Risk Assessment meetings with the EPC Contractor;
- Monitors Onshore HSSE aspects of EPC Contractor activities;
- Monitors Offshore HSSE aspects of EPC Contractor activities;
- Attends Toolbox Talk meetings;
- Ensures Control of Work procedures and BP Golden Rules are adhered to;
- Performs Safety Inspections and records results;
- Participates in the development of and executes the Project HSSE Audit Plan;
- Implements a verification program to systematically verify whether Construction activities are in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and conformant to BP and Project HSSE requirements;
- Works with Construction team to implement programs to systematically verify whether equipment and services provided by suppliers and contractors meets contractual and BP Requirements;
- Participates in identifying and recording Lessons Learned during the Project lifecycle;
- Implements Project & BP practices and procedures to systematically identify and assess construction safety hazards and mitigate risks to people;
- Performs all duties as required by Line Management;
- Represents the Project HSSE Manager as necessary.


Key challenges:
- Ensure EPC Contractor applies BP 'We believe in Zero Harm' ethos
- Managing potential conflict situations
- Managing application of process & procedures

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
10+ years Oil & Gas Major Project/Construction HSSE Experience;
University degree or equivalent experience
CMIOSH membership preferred or working towards;
Experience of both onshore and offshore Construction works;
Offshore Major Lift experience desirable
