The Role:
We are looking for an experienced D&C Logistics Superintendent to join a leading global Oil & Gas company located in Perth, WA. The main purpose of this position is to provide onshore support as part of the drilling and completions team. The role's primary responsibility is to efficiently plan and execute all Logistics matters pertaining to the delivery of the companies latest upcoming offshore drilling campaign.
Core accountabilities include but will not be limited to:
* Perth focal point for all logistics services from contracted Third-Party suppliers, including Helicopters, OSV, Land Transport, etc. Develop requirements for these contracts in conjunction with Well Engineering Team.
* Liaise with TPC to provide vessel and helicopter information to ensure materials and equipment are addressed to the correct MODU and Logistics Coordinators.
* Develop and be accountable for campaign-specific Logistics Plan and ensure all relevant Third Parties are fully aware of the requirements.
* Develop and be accountable for campaign-specific Waste Management Plan
* Ensure relevant requirements of company systems, guidelines, procedures and contractual requirements are used as terms of reference for all activities under the control of this position
* Develop with Well Engineering Team, and then maintain "Master Equipment List" for offshore drilling operation; the master list will include the mobilisation and return to supplier dates.
* Develop and maintain hire equipment list, track all items, and ensure equipment return to suppliers to minimise time on hire costs.
* Ensure all Third-Party equipment has been inspected and passed QA/QC as per company procedures prior to mobilisation to the supply base.
* Ensure all Third-Party equipment for mobilisation is provided with an up to date manifest, valid certification, and correctly completed documentation (e.g. dangerous goods and SDS).
* Ensure that all materials, equipment, stock, and consumables are available at the well site when required to ensure uninterrupted, on-going operations and to minimise excess rentals and all third party and hire equipment is shipped back upon arrival onshore.
* Manage key logistics contracts, including rotary wing, fixed wing, land transport, marine vessels, supply base, waste management, CCUs, etc.
* Call-off all Third-Party equipment as per the "Master Equipment Lists" and MODU based Lookahead, liaising with the onshore Lead Drilling Engineer and offshore Logistics Coordinators, taking due regard to transportation restrictions whilst minimising hot shots.
* Ensure that all materials, equipment, and goods are stored, packaged, and always transported properly and safely as per best industry standard and contract requirements. Ensure all appropriate records are accurately maintained and kept up to date for all materials and equipment movements.
* Coordinate personnel travel (with travel provider) to and from Perth and the MODU, ensuring all relevant documentation (passports, medicals, HUETS, etc.) are obtained and filed prior to mobilisation.
* Participation in company incident management team as a logistics section chief.
* Track all transport costs associated with the mobilisation and return of Third-Party tools and equipment, review third part freight costs and where possible, provide more cost-effective solutions and options.
* Maintain an accurate inventory of all company and Third-Party drilling equipment delivered to the supply base.
* Report and investigate any service and delivery discrepancies, coordinate corrective actions and close out non-compliances related to any logistics activities.
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
Tertiary qualification in relevant field
Substantial previous experience in a similar role
Experience in an onshore logistics supply base would be advantageous
