The Role:
The primary function of the Offshore Client Representative Welding Inspector is to monitor and oversee the contractor's performance and ensure the quality plan regarding welding of subsea pipeline is in compliance with the ITP and general industry standards.
Duties include:
* Monitor daily welding activities
* ensuring that appropriate and timely action is being taken on any NCRs and CARs Resulting from audits
* ensuring inspection to approved Inspection and Test Plans
* performing quality surveillance examinations, witnessing tests, etc., in accordance with and as specified in the Inspection and Test Plans
* transmitting verification documentation (Inspection Reports) after each inspection
Essential Skills / Qualifications:
* BSc in mechanical or welding engineering (as a minimum)
* Strong oral and written communication skills (English)
* CWI with experience in API 1104/DnV
* CWI with experience in ASME B.31.3/ ASME B.31.4
* 15 years of offshore pipeline fabrication/construction experience Preferences
* valid Senior Certified Welding Inspector (SCWI) certification or equivalent
* Additional NACE/ NDE certification(s)
* Over 15 years of fabrication/construction experience related to offshore Equipment
* Have or able to obtain necessary certificate(s) (OSHA/HUET/BOISET, etc.)
