The Role:
The position is for a Piping and Static Equipment Assurance Engineer, for leading and supporting the assurance in the execution of Piping and Static Equipment Installation within the LNG Facility. The role requires demonstrable safety leadership that sets a high benchmark to be sustained throughout the project.

Development of the LNG Facility includes the installation of 2 LNG Trains comprised of;
* Acid Gas Removal Unit (AGRU),
* Dehydration and mercury removal,
* Fractionation and NGL Extraction; and
* Liquefaction.

The LNG Facility will be supported by systems such as;
* Inlet Separation;
* Flare and vent;
* MEG recovery;
* Condensate recovery and stabilization; and
* Fuel Gas.

Each Unit/System includes equipment, such as, Process and utility piping, Valves, Pressure Vessels and Internals, Columns and Heat Exchangers (Shell and Tube, Cryogenic) critical to the LNG facility.

The position will be a contractor role on a rotation basis based in Afungi, Northern Mozambique.

Responsibilities include:

* Safety leadership of EPC contractors to achieve best in class safety performance in the field;
* Leadership and supervision of Piping and Static Equipment related Assurance activities in accordance with the Construction Assurance Plan, supporting procedures, assurance schedules and project contract requirements;
* Assist Onshore LNG Site Assurance Manager as required in the management of the overall Assurance program;
* Strive to be aware of the cost and schedule implications of decisions, and raise any query that they have with the Onshore LNG Site Assurance Manager;
* Monitor both company and EPC Contractor progress and quality and confirm they are acceptable. If progress and/or quality is not acceptable, inform and work with Contractor and Company Management to improve performance to an acceptable level;
* Implement Company Construction Assurance process;
* Monitor and review construction practices, including design control, document control, interface management and special processes;
* Where required monitor and participate in Contractors' vendor activities;
* Review and monitor closeout of Contractor NCRs;
* Progressive review of Contractor documentation, including MDR's and final dossiers in readiness for handover;
* Participate in Contractor led audits, ensuring audit reports are issued within acceptable time frame and audit actions are appropriately implemented;
* Liaise, as necessary, with other parts of the project, to ensure a consistent approach is taken to all project facilities in the piping and static equipment areas;
* Assure the project HSSE and Quality objectives are being followed;
* Report incidents and near misses immediately;
* Comply with a duty of care to ensure that safe practice is adhered to at all times. In addition to any specific accountability for HSSE, be accountable for ensuring that they adopt exemplary safe behaviours;

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
The successful candidate will have a minimum of ten (10) or more years' experience in the construction and installation of Static equipment, including, Vessels, Heat Exchangers and Columns, Process and Utility Piping, including Valves, as described above within the LNG, Oil and Gas and/or Petrochemical facilities. Specific experience and expertise in the following areas is required:
* Previous experience in a similar role(s) on a large-scale project(s) with a history of demonstrable safety leadership;
* Lead auditor with extensive experience in broad project assurance execution;
* Knowledge of appropriate codes, standards and good assurance and engineering practices specifically within the mechanical and piping construction industry;
* Advanced knowledge of construction activities for, onshore LNG structures, and associated disciplines, such as, Process and Utility Piping, Mechanical, including Pressure Vessels, Trays and Internals, Heat Exchangers and Columns, etc.;
