The Role:
Based in Houston, USA

Candidates must have:

Minimum of 10 years' international experience in the area of EPCI more specifically focused on offshore installation activity working directly for owner/operator
LNG Project Experience
Technical aptitude relating to commercial risk associated with offshore installation activity.
Extensive experience and application of contract management activities variation/change order process, fair allocation of risk & loss, cost recovery through formal contractual dispute resolution strategies.

- Qualified Contracts engineer in the management and administration of international projects EPC/EPCI type construction contracts,
- Very strong knowledge in construction law,
- Proven experience in management and administration of Oil & Gas project construction contracts from pre-award to final account preferably on offshore installation / subsea packages
- Proficient in SAP ERP and Microsoft Office software suite


Produce contractual documents in compliance with company procedures and ethics
Provide a quality, cost-effective and time efficient contract and procurement support to technical entities of the LNG Upstream Project organization
Contribute to the economic performance and to reducing risks in the execution of the Project

Ensure that the Contracts assigned are managed in accordance with the agreed contractual terms and conditions and that Company's interests are protected at all times:

* Develop within area of responsibility contract procedures and internal work instructions to support efficient processes within the project team
* Provide advice to the Company Representative on contractual issues and prepare / validate all contractual correspondence.
* Administer contractual correspondence, change orders logs and filing.
* Review requests for change orders and prepare / validate change order documents.
* Provide support to manage Contractor claims, prepare counter claims,
* Ensure all contractual certificates, guarantees and insurances required under the Contract are in place and received in the due time.
* Coordinate the processing of Contractor's monthly applications for payment and verify invoice submissions.
* Maintain a database which tracks the creation and the evolution of contracts, change orders, certificates, approvals
* Administer all contractual data necessary to be recorded in SAP (ERP system) for establishing commitments, their follow up and payments.
* In all activities liaise with all Project team members and with HQ (Category Management) members as necessary and in accordance with the Project Governance

The position mainly consists in the post award management and administration of the subsea (SURF) main EPCI and COMPANY PROVIDED ITEMS (CPI) contracts.

Essential Skills / Qualifications:
- Diploma: Master Construction Law, Business,
- 10 years, practical, relevant and progressive experience in preparation, negotiation, management of EPC/EPCI construction technical contracts in offshore/marine Oil & Gas Projects.
- Personal Abilities: Knowledge and understanding of contract processes in projects
- Good general knowledge and understanding of project control, commercial, legal and insurance matters, and "in depth" understanding where relevant to construction and supply contracts
- Very good understanding of different means of contractor remuneration and their commercial implications, practical experience of their use.
- Good communication, organizational skills, capabilities to take workload and work under pressure, able to work in a multicultural and cross-functional environment.

Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
Qualification in Engineering / Offshore Construction Science would be a plus
